David Lereah Watch Mentioned in SF Gate
The David Lereah Watch was mentioned in a San Fransisco Gate article title 'Bubble Bloggers are the new real estate sages.' As Cramer says 'Boo Ya!'
Neat. Thanks for the mention. :-)But despite the daunting numbers, the real estate industry continues to post optimistic predictions like a tribe of Pollyannas on steroids. Last week, David Lereah, author of 2006's "Why the Real Estate Boom Will Not Bust" and the National Association of Realtor's chief economist, had the audacity to suggest that "the worst is behind us" in terms of lagging sales numbers in September.
Times have changed, though. When the market was boomin', his word might've been taken as gospel. But now that the sky is falling, bubble bloggers have become the sages of the day. In August, Ben Jones, creator of Thehousingbubbleblog.com, was featured in a Q&A on Newsweek's Web site, and Andrew Leonard covered his blog in Salon. Last week, David Lereah Watch, the Internet watchdog of the industry's most relentless booster, was mentioned in Business Week. .....
Other blogs have attempted to give this mathematical mayhem a human face. David Lereah Watch chronicles the botched predictions issuing from this high-profile industry insider

"David Lereah Watch Mentioned in SF Gate"
As the Chief Economist of the NATIONAL ASS. of REALTORS, Dr. Lereah is paid by the NAR to lie. I am glad that there is a blog devoted to keeping track of Dr. Lereah's many lies. Now, it is much easier to compare the false statements made by Dr. Lereah, with the truth.
I noticed that there were several negative housing stories this morning in Section K, which contains San Francisco Chronicle Real Estate. In adition to the article by Carol Lloyd, there was another gem:
Mortgage Loan Fraud Losses Drain Investors.
Here are the titles of the other negative articles, for which I could find no links:
Gains in Home Prices Slowing in Some Places
Slowing Economy Sends Rates Down
Dubious Home Appraisals a Risk for Thousands of Buyers
David Lereah watch is also mentioned on the David Lereah MySpace page!
The David Lereah Watch blog is accused of being a "hater" on his blog.
